October Happenings!

I got so excited on Friday to share the new gift card holders that I totally forgot to share all the awesome and amazing things that are happening in October!  I hope everyone had a chance to come spend a little time with Dyan Reaveley this past weekend and maybe squeezed in a little VIC shopping too! October is another crazy busy month and we are on the road too!  So, let's hop right in to all things October!

I wanted to add a disclaimer - these events are subject to change.  I write this a month out, so sometimes things change and we will do our best to keep you in the loop!  Thank you for understanding and being flexible with us!

October 1

We are back with our Knitting and Crocheting series!  It technically started last week, but if you haven't taken it, I highly recommend it!

October 3

Come stamp a stack of cards featuring Kaisercraft's line Anthology!  These beautiful cards feature a ton of techniques and you will leave with 12 complete cards.  The class supplies also allow you to make at least 12 more too!  They are great all purpose cards to have in your stash!  Register for Card Stack right here!

October 6

Crop Day!  It is my favorite day of the month!  Bring your project in progress or something new you are ready to tackle and spend the day with other ladies getting their creativity on!  We provide chocolate and Netflix.  You may even meet your new scrappin' besties too!  Register for the crop right here!  There are 13 seats still open! Woot Woot!

October 11

Join our City Chick Margaret to make the perfect fall additions to your HOME series!  We have the cutest pumpkin in the patch and a turkey too cute to eat!  This class is offered at 12pm and at 6pm to accomodate crazy schedules!  You can get signed up right here!

October 12-13

Come see us at Oak Ridge Memory Magic!  We will be a vendor booth with shopping, make and takes, and more!  To register for this event, you need to contact the Oak Ridge Parks and Rec department or email jbohanan@oakridgetn.gov.  This is a great local event and it is always a favorite for us!

October 13

Missy is bringing another installment of her Bible Journaling Story Teller series!  Missy is incredible at sharing her craft and her faith and you will not want to miss out!  This class is great for anyone wanting to Bible journal - first timers or old pros!  The theme is Forever Fall and you can get registered right here!

That afternoon, we have TWO hand lettering classes!  I am teaching a bounce and serif class AND hand lettered sermon notes!  Bounce and serif is perfect for those who have already taken beginner hand lettering!  We will learn two brand new fonts and create a little hand lettered art piece to take home.  You don't have to be a master letterer - just feel comfortable with the pen!  Grab your seat for bounce and serif right here!

Hand Lettered sermon notes is a lettering class for anyone!  We will be using skills from beginner hand lettering, but you can try it without that class too.  We will learn some tips and tricks to creating incredible live sermon notes and then do a little practice too!  This class is great for any kind of notetaking - not just sermons - and can really diversify the lettering styles in your arsenal!  Sign up for Sermon Notes here!

October 14

We are hosting a VIC only event - Parks and Rec crop!  Join the gang from Scrappin' In The City and Pawnee, Indiana to eat, crop, and laugh.  Spots are available by calling the store and only a few are left!

October 20

Margaret is bringing the mess to Inky Chicks!  This month, we will focus on using alcohol inks in journals.  Margaret is a master of all things mixed media and come learn some tips and tricks to try out on your own!  Don't forget that after 5 Inky Chicks, you get free craft money!  Sign up for Inky Chicks right here!

Then, at 1pm, Margaret is leading a class on creating another adorable piece of wood decor.  In this class, you will create all the pieces and parts and have another part of your fall art ready to go! Ready to join in?  Sign up right here!

Plus, we will be at the Smoky Mountain Stamp and Scrapbook Show in Gatlinburg on Saturday and Sunday!  We do have tickets available for purchase at the store.  If you have never been to the event before, there are tons of make and takes, vendors, and door prizes!

October 23

We have another day of double up classes!  At noon, we are meeting with Scrap Club to make some vintage and spooky layouts featuring Simple Stories line Vintage Halloween.  Scrap Club always sells out in a hurry!  Grab your seat right here!

And, at 6pm, Missy is doing our regular monthly Tuesday night Bible Journaling class!  Learn a new technique to use in your bible! This month's focus will be on using Oxides and it is going to be amazing!  Ready to get signed up? Grab your spot here!

October 27

Bring your littles for a 12 and under make and take from 10-2!  This event will be held quarterly and is just for our tiniest crafters.  Kids make and take works just like the regular one - be sure to allow about 20 minutes to sign in and get the project completed.  No appointment or reservation is needed.  Parents will need to stay at the store, so use this time to get a little bit of shopping done!  More information about the event can be found right here!

October 28

The event is legendary and the stash swap is the best!  Join us for a monthly Plannerds meet up and get to work on creating an amazing planner!  The Knoxville Plannerds have tons of techniques and love to share what they know!  The event is FREE but you need to RSVP to save your spot!  Grab it right here!

I am already tired!  I can't wait to see you guys at Hand Lettering!
Now, go get crafty!
