BoBunny and Darice

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I have another magical day of CHA reveals and shares!  Today, I want to share Bo Bunny's new lines AND the new addition to your favorite rolling cart from Darice.

BoBunny is bringing some really cute new lines!  I was super surprised about how bright and colorful they are.

I am loving those pinks and oranges in Sweet Clementine!  I also love that the Celebrate Freedom line has some new patterns and prints.  Sometimes, I feel like Fourth of July lines look alike with the same prints in different colors.  I can't wait to see this one in person!

And, I know that a lot of us are proud owners of the Ikea Raskog cart - or a Darice version of it.  It is the three basketed one on wheels with tons of bright colors and perfect for storing all kinds of things.  Darice is now offering a flat top to fit right over it.
I love that it makes the top look a little neater and you can lean on it to make it a functional desk.  It kind of reminds me of an elementary school desk with the lid on it!

Which of these new things are you most excited to see?

New CHA!!!!!

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend, maybe saw enough snow to stay in your jammies, and are ready to see all the amazing things CHA has to offer!  I have so many emails from Sara waiting to be shared - I could hardly decide what to write here first!  All this week, I will be sharing some new products, releases, and classes that Sara has been partaking in!

Today, I want to share some of the classes that she took!  Say hello to our favorite Inky Gentleman, Mr. Tim Holtz, and the very cutest of cute stamps - Lawn Fawn!

Sara said that she got a chance to use the brand new Distress Oxide Sprays (!!!) and I am sure they are headed to the store - no ETA yet!  But how cute is this project!

These are the days that I am so darn jealous and would love to go try (and see!!!) all the new things!

Up next, is Lawn Fawn.  Sara left me with this message - "I ordered all of it.  Customers can pre-order now!!!"  In Lawn Fawn's class, she got to make four cards with the new lines and the little slider card is their coolest innovation yet!

Which are you most excited to see!!!???!!!  Tomorrow, I will have more products and goodies from your favorite paper and tool companies!  Plus, Sara is showing lots of sneak peeks over on our Facebook page, so don't forget to check in there too!

Echo Park Part 2

Were you guys in love with yesterday's releases?  I am so excited to share a few more with you all today.  Again, this week is CHA week, which means there are lots of new products and lines being released in the coming weeks and months.

Today, I am sharing more from Echo Park and Carta Bella's latest release!

This first wedding line is beautiful!  I love how the neutral colors are great for any wedding that you may attend (or plan!)  Plus, I am a big fan of the gold foil accents.

And, now, for your wild side!  This safari line is so cute and I LOVE the alphabet animal cards!  I was thinking about how cute a little zoo mini-album would be featuring these letter cards!

And, is a Pirate's Life for you?  This paper makes me think yes!

Echo Park always has adorable summer lines!  I am loving the pinks in their Best Summer Ever!  The food trucks are so cute and it has all your favorite themes - popsicles, watermelon, swimsuits, and fruit!

And, a little outdoor camping trip from Lori Whitlock!  I particularly love the constellation paper in this line!

There are more lines headed out that I do not have pictures for.  As soon as I get them, I will be sure to pass them along!

But, today, I want to share a few of Echo Park and Carta Bella's new releases... and y'all - there is some ADORABLE stuff!   I will have more tomorrow, but today, I have five lines!

First up is Cartography by Carta Bella!  This is a new twist on a travel line and I love how the stickers and accents play on the simplicity of the maps.

Love this mermaid line and I love how it has a purple base instead of pink!

Y'all.  Go ahead and hold me one of everything from this line.  Lost in Neverland - yes please!

Anybody Disney?  Loving the new edition of Magical Adventure!

And, last but not least (for today), a little love from Flower Market!

More January Releases (and Sales!)

What a week you guys!  We have gotten sneak peek at so many different lines and products and can't wait for Sara to get the full run down at CHA next week.

I wanted to share the Kiwi Lane release that is 15% off between now and February 1st.
I love how practical these lines are!  You will use them all year long on scrapbook and card making projects!  If you don't have these yet, you can order them at this link right here

I don't have any pictures, but I am so excited for Amy Tangerine's latest release with American Crafts.  This new release from them includes a new little travel watercolor set.  I was so excited and was thinking of all the on-the-go crafts that could use it!  Bible journalers, travelers notebook gals, and more - squee!  Her latest release is called Stay Sweet and I think it is a celebration of all things I expect from her - bright colors, cute fruit, and sassy sayings!

I love the stripes and popsicles and the bold graphics on her papers this year!  I cannot WAIT until all the new stuff from CHA!

Retreat Details!

We are about four weeks out from our amazing retreat at the Embassy Suites!  I don't know about you all, but I have started playing in my head with what I am packing and planning to (attempt to) accomplish over the weekend!  I want to share my brand tried and true, patented packing list, so don't forget to keep scrolling until you find it!

First, I wanted to share some details about the event space.  Every time we go to a new space, it is always a little bit different.  At the Embassy Suites, our table arrangement will be a touch different.  Instead of tables of four people, we will be in groups on 8.  This is super awesome for big groups of scrapping friends attending the retreat together!  Unfortunately, this means that not everyone will have an end seat.  There will still be plenty of crop space per person!  We will be sitting two people to an 8' table.  You will have a really generous 4 feet of scrapping space available for you, your Ott Lite, and all the goodies you can imagine.

I know that like me, you guys love a good collapsible wagon to carry your stuff in too!  We will have space for them, if they are put under the table in a specific way.  You will have to scoot to the end of your table space and put the wagon between you and your table mate.  There should be plenty of room, if they are parked this way.  You can also just use your wagon for loading and unloading if that is easier for you!  There will be more space in the aisles this year and Sara has made sure that we all have enough space by limiting registration.

Okay, and now to the packing list!  This comprehensive list was compiled by your suggestions and my experience of leaving important things behind (yes, it is true)!  I use it as a guide to pack for all my retreats and some crops too!  As always, we will have a mini-store at the retreat (and the big store is just a few minutes away), if you need to pick up some basics.

Retreat Packing List - Scrapbook Things
o Paper trimmer
o Scissors
o Adhesive tape AND liquid glue
o Journaling pens
o Project kits
o Thickers!
o Embellishments
o Paper lines (stored in class bags!)
o Stamps
o Dies and inks
o Cricut or Silhouette
o Cutting mat
o Ottlite or small table lamp
o Power strip
o Selphy printer
o Trash container
o Album and page protectors – a place for those finished layouts

Retreat Packing List - Non-Scrapbook Things
o Tissues
o Blanket or jacket
o PJ’s
o Flipflops or slide-on shoes
o Slippers
o A wide variety of snacks
o Checkbook
o Lunchbox to keep drinks cold
o iPad/Laptop/Tablet AND headphones

I highly recommend packing for a variety of weather!  Sometimes, ballrooms are really cold, sometimes they are super hot.  I don't know about you, but I have a hard time working if I am on either end of the temperature spectrum. So, plan ahead and tuck a jacket and a short sleeved tshirt in there.  Also, because it is such a large group, we do ask that you wear headphones while watching that Tim Holtz tutorial or latest season of This is Us!

We are so excited to scrap with you all soon!

Super Cute Shaker Card Tutorial!

Hey everyone!

I am here to share a super cute Valentine's Day tutorial from our delightful design team member Jody Compton!  I am loving what she has created, without using a foam shaker card kit.  Jody, you may have inspired my valentines!

Hello, it’s Jody! I have a quick blog sharing how to make a shaker card! Now, I do not have a hand die-cut machine. So I thought surely my silhouette cameo can do the trick. And it did!  I love my Valentine's shaker card. I used the adorable Pebbles Inc. Loves Me collection.

I first picked my papers, one for the base of the shaker, a plain cardstock for the pile of hearts and one for the final heart on top. I picked a simple heart shape and cut it out 9 times. I then carefully glued all those layer by layer.  I tried so hard to wait for all the glue to dry before adding another layer. I grabbed some old packaging and trimmed it to a heart. I glued the pile of hearts to the base, again waited for it to dry. Then added sequins, so sparkly! I carefully glued down the plastic heart then glued down the final heart layer! I finished the inside with a few embellishments from the collection. So quick and fun. I hope this gives you inspiration to try a shaker card.

Seriously, how cute is this!?! The Pebbles Love Me line is currently at the store and waiting for you to take home to make this adorable card! Jody is full of amazing scrap inspiration. You can find her on Instagram at the Floppy Eared Farm! Go give her a follow and check out some of her other amazing work.
