Friday Fun!

 Happy Friday everyone!

I hope you have exciting plans for the weekend! I am hoping to squeeze in a scrapbook layout or two, along with making some progress on another crafty project I am working on - an embroidery hoop!

I don't know how many of you do some crafty cross-training, where you do multiple crafts, but I wanted to share one of my favorite ways to do something creative, without putting in a lot of effort - coloring! Coloring is so fun because it can be low effort or high effort crafting!

If you are looking for something low key, there are tons of coloring pages that are free to print online (seriously, check out the amazing options on Pinterest) or you can use an app to do digital coloring - my sister-in-law swears it is so relaxing!  Whether you are looking for a pattern or a scene or a fun quote, there are lots of coloring options!

Another low key option is reverse coloring!  I love this for using up messy scraps.  If you have a ton of papers laying around that you created to test out new colors or techniques and they don't have a home, use them for reverse coloring!  That means, taking a thin line black marker and trace around the edges of the shapes to make it look like a coloring book.  It is a fun and easy way to find shapes and patterns in work you already have.  There are also reverse coloring books if you want to get really fancy too.

(There are lots of fun samples over on Pinterest to get your brain started reverse coloring!)

If you are looking for a new way to color fancily, can I recommend Copics?  We love Copics here for their beautiful colors and they way they take stamps to the next level!  If you are new to them, I *highly* recommend our Copics Beginner class.  It shows you lots of different techniques, as well as Copics care, and getting the most from your markers.  Plus, starting with a class helps eliminate frustration!  You can find the Copics class at this link right here.  Once you purchase it, you can watch it multiple times!  Plus, I love that you only need three markers to take the class which is an easy way to make sure you enjoy Copics before purchasing a bunch of markers!

Be sure to swing by the store this weekend to grab all sorts of fun markers and coloring goodies - and the new arrivals!  We received this GIANT delivery this week and there is something for everyone inside!

Now, go get crafty!
