Mother's Day Card Inspiration!

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope you had a great weekend!  A huge thanks to all our friends who dropped by the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo this weekend - we love seeing familiar faces!  And, a giant welcome to all our new friends too!

If you haven't already made one, I have some inspiration and a full tutorial to share from our friends at Lawn Fawn for an adorable Mother's Day card!  I particularly love the customization of the people you can add on this one.  Plus, I think it is great for moms, grandmothers, and bonus moms!

So, directly from Lawn Fawn, here are the "ingredients" and the directions ot making this cute card!  (You can shop our Lawn Fawn supplies right here!

Steps:

  1. Trim the Birthday Candles (light blue) paper from the Watercolor Wishes petite paper pack down to 5.5" x 4.25" and adhere it to the front of a card base.
  2. Next, cut a hill from Watercolor Wishes Four-Leaf Clover (green) paper to be 5.5" wide using Simple Stitched Hillside Border Lawn Cuts. Then adhere the hill to the front of the card along the bottom.
  3. Die cut the Giant Happy Mother’s Day Lawn Cut three times. Once each from Watercolor Wishes Horseshoe (purple) paper, Flower Market Lupine (purple) paper and white cardstock.
  4. Layer the Watercolor Wishes Horseshoe (purple) and white cardstock die cut pieces together (for extra thickness) and then trim the word "Mother’s" out from the Flower Market purple Lupine paper and layer it onto the die cut sentiment.
  5. Next, adhere the assembled “Happy Mother’s Day” die cut sentiment to the card so that it is resting on the grassy hill.
  6. Stamp and color images from Tiny Spring Friends stamp set and then cut them out with the coordinating Lawn Cuts
  7. Arrange and adhere the Tiny Spring Friends characters around the die cut sentiment so that they are standing on the grass at the bottom and standing on the die cut itself.
  8. Stamp the little flowers and hearts from the Tiny Spring Friends stamp set around the images using Guava ink

If you need a smidge more inspo, they also shared these precious sample cards!

Just a few more days to get those sweet cards completed!  And, nothing goes better with a Mother's Day card than a Scrappin' In The City gift card!

Now, go get crafty!
