New Year's Crafting Resolutions!
Happy New Year's Eve everyone!
The store is open today and closed tomorrow, January 1st, for the New Year holiday! But, the big shopping of the week is the new goodies added to the Clearance sale online this week. You can shop for all things Semi-Annual Clearance at this link right here!
Since it is the new year, I thought that I would share some of my favorite crafter's resolutions! I found some inspiration over on the Crafts Beautiful blog and thought I would share my spin on some new New Year's Resolutions!
1) Go see some art! Check out a gallery, artist's studio opening, the art at the fair, or the art museum. Seeing new art and artists definitely inspires me as a creative person! I am also working to add new artists into my social media feed - scrapbookers and beyond to make sure that new ideas are always entering my world!
2) Craft with friends! I love to have a chance to catch up with my friends and there is something about crafting with them that is even better! It's like getting to fill my social and creative cup at the same time. So, grab a seat at a crop, host a crafting night, or take a class together, because creativity with friends is even better!
3) Finish it up! My goal is going to be to finish one of my [NUMBER REDACTED] unfinished projects. I have a lot.... and it would be nice to knock one or two of them out!
4) Try Something New! This might be how I get in an unfinished project hole, but it is really fun to try something new. I love a kit for a complete project of something I've never done. It makes taking the risk a reasonable financial choice and usually gives pretty good instructions!
5a) Clear it out! Maybe this is the year to be a bit more ruthless with my stash to finish up some lines, get some ready for the yard sale, or share what I will not be using with others.
5b) Use a special paper! You know the ones... we all have them... the papers that are too fun/special/beautiful/unique to use. I'm committing here, on this blog, to picking one out and using it!
Do you make creative resolutions for a new year? We would love to hear some of them over on our Facebook page today!
Now, go get crafty!
