Rock Candy!

I hope you are having a great week!  I was looking for something fun to share with you all and I don't think that I have shared the new Rock Candy on the blog recently!  It is always a big seller at the store - and now we have regular and chunky in stock!  

Rock Candy from Tim Holtz and Ranger is a clear glitter product that you can use as a clear product or you can color! There is a really long video from Tim Holtz below where he shares a hour (and more) of tips and tricks to make the most of your Rock Candy.  

Here are some of my most favorite tips from the video...

1) Double the shine and shimmer by using Glossy Accents!  A shiny glue is going to make your glitter shinier.

2) Want to un-sparkle your glitter?  Use a matte paint or ink to give more emphasis on texture than shine.

3) Don't squish your glitter flat!  If you squish it down, all of your glitter is sparkling on the same plane, instead of having lots of different angles to catch the light. 

4) When matching glitters to inks, use a slightly lighter shade of glitter for maximum light reflection.

5) Mix and match the small and chunky glitters to make a unique texture! 

6) Bonus point!  This glitter is heavy, so it isn't going to fly all over your craft space and leave your room covered in glitter dust.
