Ready for the Weekend?
I am so ready for this weekend! I have been on the road this week and am ready for a little downtime!
The store is going to be slammed this weekend with tons of events and things going on! Here is a quick run down - and we hope to see you here!
Friday and Saturday are Oak Ridge Memory Magic! Join us in Oak Ridge for scrapping, make and taking, and more! This event is hosted by the Oak Ridge Parks and Rec department so you will need to register with them. We will be a vendor and always love seeing your shining faces at these events!
Saturday is slammed with classes! There will not be a make and take at the store this weekend due to Oak Ridge Memory Magic. However, Missy is starting off the morning right with a little bible journaling! Join Missy one Saturday a month as they do a little deep diving into their bibles and work with a theme. This month is all about being thankful. The class includes a ton of materials and you will learn so much! Missy is the master of bible journaling and you will not be disappointed. After bible journaling, I am back for more lettering! I am teaching two lettering classes at the store.
First up, Bounce and Serif Lettering! This class will teach you TWO new ways to write - a whimsical bounce lettering and a bold serif! I recommend that you take beginner hand lettering before this class. I encourage participants to feel comfortable with making clear up and downstrokes. You certainly do not have to be a lettering wizard! I will teach you the rest! And at the end of class, we will make a little framed piece to take home. You can register for Bounce and Serif Lettering right here! (The best part of this class, no new supplies to buy! Just bring your fude pens and tracing paper!!!)
The next class is Hand Lettered Sermon Notes! We will take your hand lettering skills up a notch while doing a little live lettering! In this class, we will talk about how to stretch your font into a lot more and making the most of your space. You need to bring a pen you are comfortable writing with and an open mind! This class does not require hand lettering experience; it is all about using your skills! While this class will be using a faith-based background, these skills can be used for anything! So, feel free to come join us, even if you don't want to letter your sermon notes :) Register for Hand Lettered Sermon Notes here!
Did you think we were done there? NOPE! On Sunday, we are excited to be hosting our next VIC Crop! I think spots are all taken.... but you can call to get on a waitlist at the store. This event is only open to our VIC's and will be a blast!
