Lots of Fall Fun
While the store is starting to receive Christmas shipments (!!!), our Design Team has us dressed up with Fall inspiration. The paper collections were colorful and rich and had some really fun elements like squirrels and foxes. If you haven’t had time to come look at these projects in person, here they are up close! (Links will take you to our online store!)
Awww! Isn’t Sadie Mae cute! Paula Sales made this gorgeous orange layout using a little bit of everything fall! The orange paper is BoBunny, the patterned papers are Imaginisce and Echo Park. The wood buttons (love) are American Crafts, and then she finished it with Thickers. Whew! I love to see lines mixed and matched like this! And did you see the leaves? Beautiful. I really like the composition of the page with the big colorful blocks at the top of the page, and an over-sized banner anchoring the photo. Then the banner repeats with the title. Very interesting!
Margaret Carpenter is showing us how to use Kiwi Lane templates - she does it perfectly! This pretty page really focuses on the beautiful photograph, but uses lots of interesting shapes and patterns to make it special. The paper is Echo Park “Our Family”, and then Margaret used the Kiwi Lane Chevron templates and brads from Paper Studio.
I am really enjoying this handmade album Paula Sales put together with the Imaginisce “Give Thanks” papers and the Echo Park “The Story of Fall” lines (they go together beautifully). I have just a few pictures of the album...you will have to come see it all in person! I love the wood button sitting in the middle if the daisy in the front cover. What a perfect pairing!
Paula is so good at details like texture. The wood grain embossed paper adds so much interest, but doesn’t compete with the jars.
I am loving the jars she cut from one of the double-sided papers.
This page is so fun! I love the squirrels in this line. I see more wood buttons!
I just have to show you this note pad Paula made. Simple, yet so much style! Wouldn’t you love to have this? I love handmade gifts. That’s a perfect bow (did you use the new Bowz maker?).
Inside is just a pretty!
Oh! Will you look at this creation by Margaret Carpenter using Echo Park’s “The Story of Fall”! Don’t you feel like you are in that pile of leaves with “cutie”? See those fun layers at the bottom of the page...Kiwi Lane templates! Margaret knows her Kiwi Lane. I got to watch her think through a new page with her favorite templates...she may convert me to scrapbooking yet!
Speaking of “cuties”...Lesley’s guys are too cute not not scrap! This “simple” page by Lesley Miller has a lot of detail. I love the subtle pattern of this paper from Echo Park. It helps all the other details pop. (That hedgehog..!) I love how Lesley has stacked word stickers around her photos, and then hand drawn stitching around the edge of the page. There is so much to love!
Go take pictures! We still have leaf piles left even if the last leaves are being rained down this weekend! And we still have lots of fun fall paper at the City.
