Design Team "Goodies"
We have some fun new layouts in the Store! I wanted to show them off here on the blog. First up is Rachel Steiner with the Dear Lizzy “Fine and Dandy” line. She put them to such great use! Look at these sweet girls!
This layout has the look of Project Life, but is just a well pieced together 12x12. Don’t you love it! I am always amazed at how creative Rachel gets with her lettering and stickers.
This is the matching page. Seeing all the photos together really draws me in and invites me to read her journaling. Such sweet faces!
Look at the different ways Rachel used the alphabet stickers...the ways she cut them to meet her needs! I see a title, arrows, and corners. Did you notice the actual ticket stubs on the page! Love it! And the journaling is literally written “between the lines”! Genius use of patterned paper!
Rachel created an energetic page with the October Afternoon “Summertime” line! Now that I see it done, this is the perfect golfing (or putt-ing) paper! Things to notice...the washi tape border along the left side of the photos, the way she uses the lines of the paper to line up the title and journaling, and the way she documented the date with stickers on the right side of the photos. It’s perfect!
Jan Bintz brought us a couple of “goodies”...like this page made with Shimelle’s “True Stories” papers. Look at all the details. Jan is really good at pulling inspiration from the photos. She has used a printed vellum paper as her background paper, with lots of cut paper as embellishments.
Here is a closer look at the cut alphabets and the fun shiny thread behind the “3”.
This page is made with a special order we ordered just for Jan. Did you know we can special order something just for you...especially if we aren’t carrying the items you have fallen in love with?! If a paper line has a collection kit, we can order it for you! Stamps, dies, washi, mixed media items...just ask us and we will look it up!
I love the very classic colors and design...with some romantic details (the flowers and gems, the torn edge of the middle strip of paper, the polka dots, and the ribbon). It’s a beautiful page for beautiful pictures!
Thank you Rachel and Jan! What inspiring pages and techniques!
